The drink slinging, cat fighting and name calling drama has become the calling card of the nationally syndicated show, “Basketball Wives.” However, we are starting to get wind of a bit of remorse from the shows creator, Shaunie O’Neal, as she claims this is not what she signed up for.

The former basketball wife says her intentions for the show were to highlight the bond between women who understood what it was like to be married to an athlete, but now expresses, “I feel like that show is turning into ‘I have slept with a basketball player at some point in my life, so now I’m on Basketball Wives,” she told FOX news. “That’s definitely not what I brought to the table and not what I would be proud of having my name on.”

After recently expressing her dislike about the L.A. “Basketball Wives” cast, Shaunie is now speaking out against the direction of the show and has hopes of making some changes.

“I hate that it has to be a fight or an argument that gives us 4.2 million viewers,” she said. “I’m working as hard as I can to show some type of balance. We do know how to act.”

All this after she has already cashed in and made millions. Shaunie is full of BS. This is the direction she has taken the show. She has more control over the show than she is leading to believe. The ONE time I watched it, she was instigating a fight…which lead to someone getting sued. This show has reached its peak and Shaunie is trying to close out this defining chapter in her life with some dignity and respect. As a Black woman, this show is appalling and Shaunie should be ashamed of herself for perpetuating this type of media. Now she is feeling the backlash from the rejection of this type of media. You can’t sell your soul then try to get a refund. Sorry Shaunie, you can’t have it both ways.

      Shaunie ..
should channelize that competency of creating such show towards your own African-American media. Moreover, I agree with the above commentary, Shaunie is taking a recoil from the conduct of the show. Obvisouly, Shaunie, is aware of the show and its course, she made her wherewithal, now she is trying to play as though she want out, yeah right. Way to go Shaunie. Seemingly, she just allowed Fox to utilize her concept to depict and act out on Black folks drama. Shaunie, if that is the way you need to cash in then you are no different from the typical white America – use your own to come up. truely, we all enjoy good drama on television, but seemingly there is always African Americans whom of which, are depicted in the worst way.

I’m ashamed of Shaunie as well. Smh

This show is a HOT MESS. Who really are the Basketball Wives? and I don’t mean Ex-Wives…….Shaunie you ought to be ashame of yourself for letting this mess come to play. Some Mother’s you all are to even promote this trash, instead of taking a step forward you have taken many steps back. Sorry Shaunie this is your show and you created this HOT MESS of a show. Seems that the parties involved are just doing this for the $$ and thinks that this makes them look good. Nope wrong it makes you look really bad for your children to see this in the future. Tammi I see why your girls are afraid to be around you, You are a bully, Evelyn you are the worst of the worst you will do anything to say you are engaged or to have a man and claim to have a business and have not seen not one customer, Jennifer you just follow the leader and end up making a fool of yourself just to fit in, because when meeting a friend of a friend you know that the friend could be DL, you all better get tested and stop playing russian roulette with your life and others, Susie Susie Susie keep up a lot of mess because you are scared they want be your friend, Royce smart lady stay away from them they are sad people that just want the attention that they seem to not be getting at home. Mekka I hate that you got caught up with that bunch of trash.

I really thought this show was going to be about Business Ladies showing us about the success in there lives.

    Just Keeping It Real.

I’ve been quite concerned about the direction of the show. The women are portrayed as shallow, argumentative, aggressive and tend to be envious of each other. Apparently, lacking basic social skills. After I saw a clip of the fight started by Tami Roman; I was done!!
