Try searching the young ladies name.

Then read the NEWS articles not blogs.

As soon as you do you will understand why there wasn’t an Amber Alert.

Maybe I just don’t get it. I posted the missing information based on the artilce in your black world. I live no where near NYC and would not know if an alert was issued or not. I was glad to see that she had been found.
Today I got the following comment. I told the person to send me something to prove it was a “scam” (his word, not mine). Please advise. Can you point me to a news paper article and not a blog that mentions this?

Thank God for his mercy!!! Parents hold your children close…there are so many children that have never made it back home..

What a relief to learn that she is safe…I can relate to what the parents were going through till they learned that she was safe…We live in a dangerous world and we really need to keep close tabs on our children.

Do you know why all missing people or children are Whites or light skinned? It’s rare we hear Black people or children missing. Please fill me in.

According FBI reports, close to 40 percent of all persons missing in America are of color – an overwhelming number are black males.

However, when we hear the term “missing persons”, images of Caylee Anthony, Chandra Levy, Laci Peterson, and Natalee Holloway, and most recently Robyn Gardner who went missing in Aruba, dominate the news.

Don’t mean to be overly critical, but your comment is ignorant. There are, unfortunately, tons of missing black people and children of ALL shades. Black people don’t receive the press coverage that white people receive, because we’re not perceived as sympathetic enough.

This seems to be changing, thanks to caring people in our community. Please wake up, because you being alert, could save someone’s life.

Thank God she has returned home safely. So many of our children are disappearing at an alarming rate.

As the retired P.I. who worked on the Central Park Jogger case in the 90’s, I must say that the social media gets that word out ASAP and we need to refine it more so that we in our own communities can activate our own Amber Alerts when sitauations arise. Welcome home Rachel and be safe little sister.

Thank God she is back and unharmed. You have to keep a very close eye on your children these days. It seems like this child abductions and molestations are on the rise!!!

just read this post and felt alarmed initially and then just relieved she was found and is well!

People yes i know about disparagies in differnce of treatment when race is involved—but this family was just desperately searching for thier child -it wasnt a debate!
just well wishes should have been all that was necessary!
